Simon Cohen speaking at 'Tech on FIRE' hosted by Thought Leaders 4 and Tech Disputes Network

Updated: Jun 14

Simon Cohen, Managing Associate at Ontier LLP, will be speaking at the ’Tech on FIRE’ event, hosted by Thought Leaders 4 and Tech Disputes Network.

The panel discussion will cover latest trends in cryptocurrency* disputes, the laws applicable to them, as well as determining whether you can create a fork in the blockchain through property concepts such as nemo dat ("the basic principle that a person who does not own property, especially a thief, cannot confer it on another except with the true owner's authority.")

Co-panellists include:

  • Pawel Aleksander - CIO, Co-Founder – Coinfirm

  • Jessica Lee - Associate - Brown Rudnick

  • Chloe Bell - Barrister - Outer Temple Chambers

  • Vijay Rathour - Partner, Head of the Digital Forensics Group - Grant Thornton

*Despite 'crypto' becoming a widely-used term to describe digital assets, not all such assets are encrypted, which is why we often refer to blockchain linked digital assets (BLDAs).

This event takes place on the 28th April 2022 at One Moorgate Place, London. Find out more about ’Tech on FIRE’ and book your place today.
